Image-based Research

Photographs and Images may also be collected and used in research. These methods are useful at engaging visual learners to participate in the research process and enable the researcher to get a deeper understanding of participant’s context and surroundings. This method is used often within ethnographic research, however may be used in other forms of research as well.
